Quintuple Champion Legacy's DeChartay (USA)

This title is awarded to dogs who excel in more than one area and achieve the highest levels. Conformation Champion title is required plus any of the other Champion titles, for example - Field Trial Champion, Obedience Champion, Tracking Champion. Two titles make a Dual, three titles make a Triple Champion and so on.

In the history of the breed, there has been many outstanding Hungarian Vizslas who attained several titles. The one, that achieved the most ever, is a nine year old Hungarian Vizsla bitch "Chartay" American Quintuple Champion Legacy's DeChartay - owned by Jack Sharkey, bred by Diane Shearer & Gregory Gollick (USA).

A very special dog who used the breed's natural instincts and her love of competition to work with her owner achieved a remarkable feat - Conformation, Field, Amateur Field, Obedience and Master Agility Champion titles. "Chartay" and Jack represented the breed in the highest levels of competition and succeeded in a way which no other breed of dog has ever done, - she is the first dog to earn Five Champion titles in the 116 years history of the American Kennel Club!

"Louie" breezed through his Confirmation title, a regular Best Of Breed winner, placed #7 in the 1999 Top Ten Vizslas in Australia (HVPCA). Mark did not even had a shooters licence when he purchased the puppy from us for possible hunting. Well, they won 1st place at their very first Field Trial! Its history after that, "Monty's " love for birds, eagerness and pleasing attitude took them a long way. He was awarded Victorian Field Trial Dog Of The Year in 2003, also the Hanafor Field Trial Trophy. I campaigned "Monty" to his Conformation title, winning Class In Groups on the way. His flowing movement and always looking for birds in the show ring won him many followers. Field Trial Champion titles are hard to come by, "Monty" is the 6th Field Trial Champion Hungarian Vizsla in Australia. The breeds 5th FT Ch title was awarded back in 1994. I campaigned "Madi" to her Conformation title, she achieved it real quick just over a month, at two years of age against top competition. I could have done much more with her in the show ring but her fortee was hunting.... Gary previously owned a German Shorthaired Pointer. Since acquire Madi, his first Vizsla, he was most impressed with her natural abilities so much so, that decided to compete and try her with the best at field trials. From being a complete novice in 2005 he has gone on to become one of the top competitors at the highest level in a year. Madi was awarded 2nd placing at the Victorian State Championship 2005 and at the National Field Trial Championship 2006. She is the 7th Field Trial Champion for the breed and the 3rd bitch to gain this title. More about . More about Madi
